Dear customers,

We are experiencing a record number of messages from travellers at the moment, so our response time can be much longer than usual. Please check this overview of the most common questions before contacting us.

Train Strikes in Germany

On 23 and 24 August there will be a strike of railway staff in Germany that will impact regional and long distance rail travel in Germany. As a result, many trains in Germany will be running less frequently, and the trains that are running will probably be much busier than usual. Deutsche Bahn (German railways) will be posting updates on the situation here (page in German).

If you are planning on travelling in Germany or on an international route which passes through Germany, we recommend that you check your planned journey on Deutsche Bahn’s timetable (available in many languages) to see if your plans are affected. In the timetable, you can also see which other trains are running earlier or later to help you plan accordingly and minimise the impact on your trip.

If you run into any problems you cannot solve by taking an earlier or later train, feel free to get in touch with our customer service team.
